The supply air inducer is attached to supply side of the ductwork and will introduce a small amount of conditioned air into the crawl space to help regulate the RH. It includes a backflow damper to keep bad air from entering the system.
50 cfm (where building code requires 1 cfm per 30 sq. ft., this unit will cover up to 1,500 sq. ft.)

After sealing off my crawlspace I installed one of these in my supply ductwork to help with humidity control. I has been working fine now for over two years, keeping the relative humidity below 55%. The only issue is that when my HVAC system isn't operating, such as in the Spring & Fall, I get no humidity control in the crawlspace and small amounts of mold are returning on the floor joists. My crawlspace is approximately 2500 cubic feet. I've decided to install a dehumidifier in addition to the inducer.

This would have to be our favorite method of conditioning a crawlspace. We use them on many homes here in central Indiana. The backflow damper works as described to prevent the unwanted crawlspace air from re-entering the crawlspace. Our company Indiana Crawl Space Repair strongly recommends them to any and all crawl space contractors.
